Our
Staff
Each member of our staff is dedicated to the care
and education of young children. Training is done throughout the year
to encourage our teachers to come up with new, creative ideas all year
long.
Background checks are done on all prospective
teachers, and each one will be required to have CPR and First Aid training/certification.
We will always meet or exceed DCFS student/teacher ratios.

Mandi Bavaro (Director/Lead Teacher, 4's) |

Mandi Bavaro is an experienced Preschool Director and Teacher with a passion for educating young children. A former Illinois State University Presidential Scholar, Mandi has continued her early childhood education at the College of DuPage. She is married and has 3 children. She is also the Children's Ministries Director at Poplar Creek Church.

Jenifer Steichen
(Lead Teacher, 3's)
Miss Jen is involved in preschool and elementary education in both volunteer and employment settings. She has been the lead teacher of our 3-year-old program for 3 years. A graduate of Western Illinois University, she has continued her early childhood education at Elgin Community College. Jen is married, has two children and resides in Bartlett.

Jill Paris (Lead Teacher, 2's and Assistant Teacher, AM 4's)
Miss Jill has worked at Schick's Crossing Preschool
for 3 years. She is the lead teacher for the 2 year
old class, and the assistant for the 4 year old
class. Jill is a graduate from Illinois State
University. Jill has volunteered in public school
classrooms for several years and loves working with
young children She is married and has two children.

Dyanna Dattilo
(Assistant Teacher, 2's)
Miss Dyanna was in the 3 year class last year and is returning to the 2's. Dyanna is currently pursuing an education in speech therapy and will graduate in May. She is also the mother of 3 children.

Nancy Flynn (Assistant Teacher, PM 4's)
Miss Nancy has worked at Schick's Crossing Preschool
in the past as a substitute, and last year as an
assistant teacher in the 2 year old's classroom.
She had so much fun she signed on for the 4 year
olds afternoon class this year. Nancy is married
and has 3 children.

Jackie Hankins
(Assistant Teacher, 2's)
Ms Jackie is new as an assistant teacher for the 2’s this year. Her youngest son was enrolled in the program and will be in the 3 year old class. Ms Jackie has experience in classroom settings and is involved in her children’s school. Jackie is married and has four children.

Miss Sue has worked at Schick's Crossing Preschool
in the past as a substitute, and joins us as an
assitant teacher in the 3-year-old class. Sue is
married and has 2 children.
