Pastor Lee Iseley, Teaching Pastor

Pastor Lee Iseley brings to Poplar Creek Church a wealth of church experience (35+ years) and a sincere love for people. His preaching style is expositional with practical application to God's Word. He incorporates humor, stories and illustrations in his preaching to help communicate Scriptural teaching in an interesting and engaging manner.

His wife Jerrianne is a published author and has a national speaking ministry. They have been married for over 40 years and have 3 grown children and seven grandchildren.

Pastor Darrel Malcom, Emeritus

Pastor Darrel and Karen have served in ministry for over 50 years and have been involved with Poplar Creek Church since 1992. Now retired, Pastor Darrel and Karen devote a lot of time to TCM ministries (a seminary in Austria) as well as civic engagement and a variety of ongoing church responsibilities.

Pastor Ian Simkins , Matchbox Student Ministries

Ian is our crazy youth guy who has a great heart for teens of our community. He leads our Matchbox ministries including various teen events as well as a weekly student-led worship gathering at our Sunday 11:00 CreekSide worship time. Ian is the oldest of seven children from the Detroit area and is a 2006 graduate of Judson College in Elgin. Ian spent an internship in India last summer and also has a burden for mission work.

Christy Delisle, Childrens Ministries Director

"Miss Jen" Steichen, Schick's Crossing Preschool Director

Jenifer is involved in preschool and elementary education in both volunteer and employment settings. She has been the lead teacher of our 3-year-old program since our inception and just took over as Director this year. A graduate of Western Illinois University, she has continued her early childhood education at Elgin Community College. Jody Wilson, Administrative Assistant/Bookkeeper

Cyndi, Church Secretary

Cyndi serves as our first contact when you call the church. She directs inquiries, handles requests and tries to keep track of where the Pastors are if they are needed. Cyndi also leads our Solo ladies ministry for singles and women who attend church without their spouses.
