"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another." – John 13:34-35

Worship Arts – worship@poplarcreek.com

The Worship Arts Ministries exist to provide the congregation with opportunities to worship God through creative expressions such as music, drama, video, and signing; to edify the body through teaching and creative elements; to provide opportunities for the congregation to share in communion; and to reach the lost outside our walls through creative and love filled experiences.

"Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him." - Colossians 3:16-17

Facilities – facilities@poplarcreek.com

The Facilities Ministry is here to care for the buildings and grounds for the use of the church members and other ministries. We cut grass, plow snow and maintain the physical plant to provide a caring environment to spread the word of Jesus Christ.

"And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness." - Colossians 2: 6-7

Outreach – outreach@poplarcreek.com

Catalyst Missions is impacting the world beyond the Poplar Creek body by reaching out Locally (Chicagoland), Domestically (USA) and Internationally. Being a catalyst for change involves partnering with missionaries and missions organizations, raising awareness, preparing for and going out to serve in the "fields".

We are working with and supporting partners in Homeless outreach (Local), Church Planting (Chicago-land), Student outreach (Purdue), Church leadership development (Eastern Europe / Asia), Bible Translation (Africa) and Orphan care and outreach (Nicaragua). We take annual trips to Nicaragua and have many opportunities to serve directly.

Bring your passion for reaching and impacting the world for Christ and join us on this journey. Click one of the links below to find out more.

"Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd." - Mathew 9:35-36

Children – children@poplarcreek.com

Children's Ministry at Poplar Creek Church is a foundational ministry whose purpose is to further childrens' faith in Jesus Christ through Biblical teachings. We promote the love of Jesus by encouraging them to be a light for Him while providing opportunities to serve others.

Shick's Crossing Preschool

"Don't let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity." - 1Timothy 4:12

Stewardship – stewardship@poplarcreek.com

The Stewardship Ministry is to guide and encourage individuals and families to manage their financial resources in ways that develop their spiritual growth and their relationship with Almighty God. It is also responsible to oversee ways the congregation accounts for the available funds and utilizes them through banking activities, budget allocations, mortgage payments, missions and other funds in ways that are both legal and pleasing to God.

"Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. 7 Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work." - 2 Corinthians 9:6-8 NIV

Spiritual Health – spiritualhealth@poplarcreek.com

The purpose of the Spiritual Health and Development Ministry is to grow stronger in Christ through continuous seeking, learning and education which will represent and create unity in the body of Christ through acts of service using diverse talents and gifts from God.

"Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you. For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others." - Romans 12:1-5

Connections – connections@poplarcreek.com

The Connections Ministries exist to use our gifts of fellowship to create a community reflective of God. Our goal is to constantly strive towards developing greater connectivity with all those who join us, through greeting, fellowship, hospitality, and more.

"Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms." - 1 Peter 4:10
