Poplar Creek Church does not maintain regular membership the way you may be accustomed to in a previous church. We generally grant all services and opportunities to everyone who chooses to be a part of our community. We teach that people who are added to the body of Christ are made members by Jesus and we should not make decisions about who and who is not part of his church. We do, however, have a non-profit corporation in the State of Illinois consisting of local people who serve together under a common purpose. We permit anyone who chooses to support that purpose to consider themselves part of the Poplar Creek Church family. We have a Decision Response Card which is a way individuals can communicate that they consider Poplar Creek Church to be their home. While we do not declare membership, we do "affiliate for purposes of shared ministry." Your Decision Response Card will reflect your present state of spiritual growth. We ask you to comment on your relationship with Jesus, and your present (or future) level of |
