First Impressions (Greeters)

  • One Sunday per month, for one service, arrive 20 minutes prior to the service and stay approximately 20 minutes past the service to help set up and clean up the auditorium.

Hospitality - Sunday

Ministry Involvement requirements:
  • A smiling face and a friendly hello.
  • One Sunday per month, for one service, arrive 30 minutes prior to the service and stay approximately 30 minutes past the service to help make coffee and set out treats, remake coffee as needed throughout the service and clean up the area after the service.

Hospitality – Special Events
Partner with the hospitality coordinator and team to set up, serve and clean up at any events involving food, including, but not limited to:  pot luck dinners, barbeques, special celebrations, etc.
Ministry Involvement requirements:
  • A smiling face and a friendly hello.
  • As needed provide help with food set-up, serving and clean-up.
  • You would choose the events you want to be involved in.

Helping Hands
When a member of the congregation has a need for meals, Helping Hands is there to provide for those needs.  It could be for a birth, an illness, a death in the family or some other need where the member doesn’t have the time or the energy to provide meals for his/her family during a specific event in their life.
Ministry Involvement requirement:
  • A smiling face and a friendly hello.
  • When a need arises, the coordinator will reach out to her team with the need and you choose if and when you can provide meals as needed.
  • You would make/buy the meal and deliver it to the member’s home or wherever directed.

Manna Ministry:
When first time visitors, who live in our surrounding communities, give us their information including address, the Manna Ministry puts together a little gift bag with a loaf of bread and information about the church and delivers the bag to the visitor’s home.  We do not push ourselves into their home but simply drop off the bag.  However, we are available to talk if requested.

Ministry Involvement requirements:
There are a few ways to get involved in this ministry, be a bread baker, bag stuffer, or delivery person:
  • Bread Baker: Bake a prescribed amount of loaves of bread and wrap them for freezing to be used as needed.  This generally is required about twice a year.  The loaves are small and a recipe is available and makes up about 5 dozen loaves.
  • Bag Stuffer: Arrive at the church during office hours on Monday or Tuesday at the latest.  Prepare bags based on information from attendance taken by the office.
  • Delivery Person: Pick up prepared bags from the church on Monday or Tuesday at the latest and deliver to the homes of visitors with a smiling face and friendly hello.
